Here's the first installment of photos from Nicole and Jeremy's wedding held Saturday, June 26. Thanks so much, Nicole and Jeremy, for asking me to be a part of your wedding day. I loved spending the day with you and the people you hold dear to your hearts. You are a WONDERFUL couple and I feel truly blessed that our paths crossed! You are not only my clients, but I also consider you my friends ... and neighbors (in a small town way:)!

This & that ...

The last four days have been somewhat of a whirlwind. I've driven more miles since Thursday than I've probably driven since D and I have been married, but it was all worth it. First off, I spent a few hours at my parent's house in northern Wisco. Mom's gardens are AMAZING and I have photos to prove it! Then I was on to Cable to relax with some friends before heading back to La Crosse to shoot a wedding. I finished the weekend in Gilman to celebrate a couple birthdays. It was really great to be out and about, but it also feels really really good to be home!

As I was uploading photos to Randy and Jessica's online viewing gallery, I came across a this sun-kissed image that I had to share (especially since we've been enduring lots of rainy days). I love to watch how the sun's changing position through a day can alter the mood of a photograph. If you're getting married soon, ask your photographer about the best natural light options for photos. You won't regret it!

Hello, sun!

Anyone who knows me, knows that I'm a cloudy/rainy day-type of girl, but even I need to see the sun every once in awhile. Here are a couple pix I took this evening; I love the late afternoon/evening sunlight.

A little something outside...

I needed a break from editing, so I ventured outside for a bit. Here's what I ended up finding on my card. Hope you are enjoying your Sunday! 

Style shoot = awesomeness

I'm super excited to share some images with you. Over the weekend I was involved in a style shoot organized by Krystal Muellenberg Photography and Dani Stephenson Photography. The theme was vintage and it was L.O.V.E.L.Y.! Kate Bentley Photography and I assisted by setting up a couple scenes - picnic in a field and lanterns in a forest. The day was AWESOME - from the amazing couples to Krystal's and Dani's vision and meeting Kate - I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Here are a few pix for your viewing pleasure. Andrea rocked the boots! And, how could you not love the dress? Super cute! 

Can you tell how in love this couple is? Nicole and Jeremy are getting married in a couple weeks! These two really rocked the hats!!

Rachel and Mark were awesome to work with - it was very apparent that they are madly in love!

I couldn't have asked for a better day to photograph a wedding. Though the skies were a tad overcast most of the day, it only rained during dinner and then the sun came out just in time to get a few BEAUTIFUL shots at Signature's. By the way, if you are planning a wedding in the Winona area, you should consider Signature's - way, way, way awesome. The staff was on top of everything and super friendly. Thanks to Randy and Jessica for being so incredibly WONDERFUL to work with! Kristi and I commented all day about how sweet and attentive Randy was to Jessica - lucky girl! You two were fantastic and I wish you nothing but many, many years of LOVE and HAPPINESS! xxoo
