Photo 7
The first six days ...
Having a baby can make a person realize a lot of things. For me, I realized that I have been ignoring something (photography) that I truly love. So, while I've been home enjoying my new man, I've also been dabbling in my hobby. To better understand my camera and my view of the world, I've decided to take a picture everyday for one year. These photos will be of people, places, and whatever the heck I find interesting around our house. Ultimately, I want my photos to evoke you to ask questions: "What is making that person smile," "I wonder what the weather felt like that day," or "What exactly is this a picture of?"
Got questions, let me know. Got constructive criticism, send it my way, but please keep it clean and respectful.
Following are the first six shots in my photo-a-day project. Photo 7 will be posted later today ... if my neighbor lets me in his yard!
Happy Saturday!
Rose hips
Who knew the back of our dining room chairs could look so cool!
Reading material around the house changed once baby took up residence with us!
One of the main reasons we bought our house - original radiators.
Primitive jelly cupboard - love the layers of paint.
The edge of my favorite cake plate.

Welcome!
Welcome and thanks for visiting The White Door. The purpose of this blog is to feature a daily photo (as I hone my photography skills and challenge myself to see my surroundings differently each day), along with tidbits about our life as a new family and general pop culture observations.
Again, thanks for dropping by.
Enjoy!
