Let me start by saying that I love shooting in Rochester, Minn. Love it! I met Mike & Sarah at Peace Plaza and we just ended up walking around that area looking for neat alleyways to shoot in. Reconnecting with the R family was a great experience. I used to work and live in Tomahawk, Wis., so heading up north was a welcomed road trip. This custom-made dress showed up at my house last week, just in time for my niece to slip it on and model for me. I was a little nervous about this session for weather reasons. It was hot and humid and a huge, ugly storm cloud hung around most of the drive to Eau Claire. When I hit the UW- Eau Claire campus (where Eric & Mandy met), the cloud was gone and the sun was shining! Phew! We had a blast and I loved photographing Mandy & Eric! This family is from the Chicago-area, but we met up in Lake Geneva for a fun morning of photos and reconnecting. I grew up only a couple miles from and graduated with mom. We hadn't seen each other since our high school graduation, so it was wonderful to catch up!  Happy Tuesday!

After canceling their first engagement session because heavy rain, I was able to get together with G & K the next day for a fun little shoot on K's family farm properties. We still had to dodge a few rain drops, but it was fun ... and their land is B.E.A.U.T.I.F.U.L.! Looking back at the photos of these two little girls does nothing less than warm my heart! Oh we had fun playing in leaves, taking multiple trips down playground slides, and just hanging out. When the momma of this family contacted me for a family session, she told me that her kids are not the take-my-picture type of kids, but more along the lines of COME-AND-GET-ME kids! She was right!
